EPICUREAN HOTEL

 The perfect epicenter in Tampa

| By Celebration Vibe |

Meanwhile, our smartphone lays on the lobby desk made out of wooden wine crates, and at this moment it’s easy to understand why this type of box is used to protect the bottles that hold this exquisite drink. They are strong yet soft, and they do not scratch our phone, to which we have not yet put a cover (That’s a bonus!).

That night, the experience at Élevage —a restaurant that features two-time James Beard Semi-Finalist Chad Johnson as its Executive Chef— is amazing, thanks greatly to its impeccably made food, part of the international cuisine with a modern approach served in the beautiful space. Its selection of wines, one of the largest in the world, is also amazing.

The trendy Élevage has been developed from the style of Bern’s Steak House, which partnered with Mainsail Lodging and Development Group to open the Epicurean Hotel’s doors in 2013. Definitely, a match made in the Hospitality and Gastronomy heaven!

Our time at The Theatre and Evangeline Spa (so soothing…) is also amazing, enough to tell you that it is imperative that you experience them. At The Theater it was great to appreciate the maestro live and through two huge screen televisions that help the public get an optimal view of what he is doing and explaining.

It’s time to leave the hotel and we want to come back already. Our next visit (or our next Epicurean’s dose) will be in March, when the Florida Strawberry Festival (303 North Lemon St. Plant City, FL) will take place approximately 25 minutes from the hotel (1207 S Howard Ave., Tampa).

On March 3 at 3:30 pm, the great Willie Nelson will be performing at the music fest (other incredible musicians will also be playing that day, but we are practically dying to see Willie!!).

Not only is the Strawberry Festival a must on our next visit. The bike trail that starts near the hotel helps you appreciate and take advantage of spectacular Tampa’s SoHo District, filled with shops, cafes, bars and restaurants.

It is important to keep getting to know the local environment, and it is very easy to do it using the Epicurean Hotel as the epicenter, as it is close to all the best spaces and venues in the area.

The local vibe is fresh, relaxed and easy to feel. It’s a celebration vibe, the same that Bern Laxer must have felt when he started Bern’s Steak House along with his wife. They knew how to celebrate the best tastes of life, and that tradition certainly continues.

The Epicurean’s rooftop bar also awaits us on our next visit. The place must be appreciated in a relaxed manner. It is almost impossible to be there in a hurry if you are aware of all the exquisite elements and details, all of them carefully hand-selected, that surround its visitors.

We are also looking forward to stay again in one of Epicurean’s rooms, all of them with such strong vibes. The butcher-block-style cabinetry and the reclaimed wood bathroom doors give a direct connection with nature itself that invites to indulge in the flavors that life has to offer.

See you soon!
